There are children in Armenia who do not get to experience the joy of Christmas and, sadly, that often means no visit from Santa. We are trying to change that. For the third year now, FAR and Ayo! are reaching out to children in some of Armenia’s poorest regions through our Chocolate Bank project.

This year, in partnership with the Lori branch of World Vision Armenia, we’ve identified families in need in Lori Province. At least 355 children from the villages of Yaghdan, Privolnoye, Mikhayelovka, Gyulakarak, and Pushkino will receive some Christmas goodies from FAR and Ayo!’s “Santas.”

From now until January 6th – the entire Christmas season – we will be collecting in-kind donations of chocolate, candies, and cookies at FAR’s office in Yerevan. In addition, we are raising money to buy warm coats and boots for these kids since many families in these villages often do not send their children to school in the cold because they lack the proper clothing. We want to make sure that these kids start off the New Year with the winter essentials.

Last year, some of our amazing volunteers helped us to collect, pack, and deliver the gifts and donations we received . Once again, they’re eagerly standing by, ready to accept the next batch of donated candy and newly purchased coats and boots for the kids who need them the most.

You can be one of these children’s Christmas miracles. Join our journey and support our Chocolate Bank … and More! project. Help us to bring gifts to these children by donating some sweets or by buying them some new winter clothes. We will be collecting donations of chocolate and candy from now until January 6th, Monday to Friday, between 9am to 6pm, at FAR’s Armenia office:
