[Child Protection]: Aragats Camp Provides a Memorable Summer Experience image

For the third year in a row, FAR, with help from the SJS Foundation , has made it possible for many socially vulnerable children, orphans, kids from single-parent families, and Syrian-Armenian refugees, to get the true summer camp experience at Aragats. This year, the camp hosted 138 children from Shirak, Syunik, Tavush, and Ararat provinces, as well as from Yerevan. All of these kids already had FAR’s support through either the Children of Armenia Sponsorship Program (CASP), the Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Program (BCPP), the FAR Children’s Center, or any of the various programs aimed at helping Syrian-Armenians.

[CASP Javakhk]: CASP Helps Family Return to Normalcy image

As of October 2016, Pavlik and Marieta’s childhood turned to a new chapter. They became beneficiaries of FAR’s Children of Armenia Sponsorship Program (CASP)*. The program is designed to bring some relief through supplementary income to the families of orphans or children being raised by single mothers in low-income and undeserved households.

Svetlana Hayrumyan became a beneficiary of FAR’s Children of Armenia Sponsorship Program (CASP)* two years ago, which means that she will receive a stipend from her U.S. benefactors until she turns 18. The program aims to promote child poverty reduction in Armenia through the provision of financial support directed to the betterment of the socioeconomic situation of vulnerable families in Armenia and Javakhk (Georgia).

[CASP]: Stipends Making a Difference in the Lives of Vulnerable Children image

Since its inception in 2000, FAR’s Children of Armenia Sponsorship Program (CASP)* has made a tremendous impact on the lives of orphans and children of children single-mothers. It thus promotes the eradication of child poverty in a number of regions in Armenia and Javakhk, Georgia. CASP sponsorship allows children to have access to life-changing benefits until they turn 18, like school supplies and other forms of educational support, everyday essentials like food, clothes, and extracurricular activities, and medical care.
