[ANSEF]: Armenian National Science and Education Fund Fights Armenia’s Brain Drain. standard

For the past 12 years, the Armenian National Science and Education Fund (ANSEF) has enabled Armenia’s scientists to pursue cutting-edge research. This support has contributed to innovation and advancement in Armenia as ANSEF has enabled many to strengthen and broaden their work without having to leave their native country. A recent article by Florence Avakian in The Armenian Mirror-Spectator highlights the importance of this program through interviews with Cornell University professor Dr. Yervant Terzian, an ANSEF founder, along with many others. [FAR New York]: Levon Lachikian Exhibit to Benefit Hintlian School in Armenia. standard

For five years FAR Press Secretary Levon Lachikyan has coordinated the Hintliyan School Program, which is sponsored by the Constantinople Armenian Relief Society. Levon recently traveled to the U.S., where his personal artwork was shown at the Kalustyan Hall of Holy Martyrs Armenian Church in Bayside, Queens. All proceeds from the sale of his work will go to the Hintliyan school. [FAR Yerevan]: An International Legend. standard

Another great look into the career of Charles Aznavour. Yerevan magazine recently published an interview with Aznavour. Florence Avakian was able to interview Aznavour following FAR’s tribute gala in his honor, which was held at Cipriani Wall Street in May. Via Yerevan Magazine Organized by the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR), the lavish banquet was also in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian Republic’s independence. Proceeds from the evening were marked for the Vanadzor Old Age Home, created by Aznavour and his long-time manager Levon Sayan, Aznavour Pour L’Arménie, right after the disastrous 1988 earthquake.
