[GTech]: Enhancing Young People’s IT Knowledge standard

This May GTech launched a partnership with the “Meghvik“ NGO to jointly promote education and development of children and youth in Gyumri. Meghvik, established in 1989, protects children’s and youths’ rights and helps to improve the social situation of children’s families through training, consultations, material aid and home care. In the first stage of cooperation, GTech will work with 16-to-20-year-olds to allow them to acquire and implement new IT skills. The beneficiaries will receive high-quality professional training from GTech’s leading developer and instructor Naira Varosyan. The wide range of topics to be covered in the three-month course will include Photoshop, HTML,  CSS, and PHP programming.

[GTech]: First Participants Complete Advanced IT Course standard

On June 6th, participants of GTech’s two-month advanced IT course were awarded their certificates of completion by GTech’s Executive Director Amalya Yeghoyan. The course was designed to enable children ages 10-16 to create their first websites. During the course, participants from different schools in Gyumri were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with website structures, and they were able to master the basics of programming through practical training. With the help of GTech’s highly qualified specialists, they managed to create their first websites and they gained insight into the IT world. [GTech]: GTech Concludes Computer Programming Trainings, Two New Web Developers Join Team. standard

By Arpine Sargsyan GTech recently concluded three months of training for local unemployed registrants from the Armenian State Unemployment Agency (ASEA). GTech instructors Aram Harutyunyan and Naira Varosyan led the trainings, which aimed to teach computer programming skills to participants in order to help them become more competitive in the labor market. Instruction included lessons in OS architecture, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, as well as basic program testing procedures. ASEA provided participants with a monthly stipend while they took part in the program. After completing the courses, all of the participants passed the required final exam and received certificates.
