Among the many events being held in honor of Armenia’s 20th anniversary of independence is the All-Armenian Art Exhibition, which recently opened at Armenia’s Artist House in Yerevan.

“We haven’t ever had such an exposition,” Armenian Artists Union Director Karen Aghamyan said. Work from artists throughout Armenia, Karabagh and the Diaspora, including the U.S., Canada, Syria and Georgia, are included in the exhibit, along with the works of Armenian painters. More than 200 works are exhibited, predominantly fine art and sculptures. The exhibition will last until September 25th.

Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, who attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, congratulated all. “We should make every effort to always cherish the presence of diasporan art in the homeland,” he said.

It is our pleasure to mention that Levon Lachikyan, FAR Press Secretary and painter, is among the artists participating in the exhibition. His work “Gyumri” is currently being featured.
