CASP 2014 Syunik distribution - Qajaran stop

Carefully written letters by children – addressed to those who have played a role in the realization of even one of their dreams.

“Thank you”s to these supporters from widowed mothers who are grateful for alleviating their struggles at least a little bit.

FAR Armenia staff needs to convey all this gratitude to donors following each visit they make to Armenia’s regions for Children of Armenia Sponsorship Program (CASP) distribution meetings. The 2014 fall destination was the Syunik province of Armenia. Distribution was held in Goris’s Saint Grigor Lusavorich Church, Kapan’s Saint Mesrop Mashtots Church with the help of the regional Family, women’sand children’s rights protection unit staff Anna Voskanyan and Ruzanna Alaverdyan, in Kajaran’s Saint Mariam Astvatsatsin Church with the generous support of Father Shirak, in Sisian’s Saint Grigor Lusavorich Church, and in Meghri’s Saint Mariam Astvatsatsin Church with the great assistance of Father Rafayel.

In addition to meeting with current CASP beneficiaries, FAR Education and Science Programs Coordinator Edik Karapetyan also met with those who are on the waiting list of the program to explain to them the enrollment procedure.

All the beneficiaries and their families expressed their deepest gratitude and warmest wishes to their benefactors, and the Women’s Guild Central Council of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern) for their generosity and support to people in need.

As FAR puts great emphasis on continuous assistance to vulnerable children and youth, we continue to support the fatherless beneficiaries of CASP as they become young adults by including them in FAR scholarship programs. Thus, we are happy to have been able to include seven CASP beneficiaries in FAR’s Mathevosian and Gulamerian Scholarship programs for the past two years.

You can get sense of how the distribution process is going by watching a video report prepared and aired by the Sisian Public Television.
