To celebrate the holidays, on December 24th, more than 120 children from FAR’s Mardigian Child Protection Center in Berd, along with a few other FAR beneficiaries, organized a delightful Christmas party. Dressed as fairy tale and holiday characters, the kids put on a play.

Afterwards, they visited children staying in the Intensive Care Ward at Berd Medical Center and soldiers at the region’s only military hospital to distribute sweets, fruits and handmade toys, and to wish them all a Happy New Year.

“There were children in the medical center who had never seen Santa Claus. It was a great joy for them to receive gifts. The soldiers especially appreciated meeting with the children,” said Mardigian Center Social Worker Astghik Hakobyan.

Children also stopped by the local police station and a few other public offices to say Merry Christmas and present postcards and small toys they had made.
