The first group of Karabagh physicians to join FAR’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program recently visited the National Medical Library (NML) to learn about its available resources. FAR has supported the National Scientific Medical Library since 1992 through the contribution of valuable materials, including medical books and journals, in addition to website development. All CME participants are required to visit NML and learn how it can aid in their professional development.
Doctors from Karabagh are the first participants of a new joint program between American Armenian Health Professionals Organization (AAHPO) and FAR’s CME, which is aimed at offering training specifically to doctors in Nagorno-Karabagh and Javakhk. This is the sixth year of CME. More than 255 doctors from Armenia’s rural areas have enhanced their knowledge of modern medical practice through this program since 2005. CME provides the way for these doctors to learn about innovative approaches and methodologies from top healthcare providers in Yerevan free of cost.
