ANSEF Scientists Receive Awards, Show Work at National Conference.

Four of FAR’s Armenian National Science and Education Fund (ANSEF) grantees recently presented some of their research projects at the Venture Conference of Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Promotion (STEP) conference, which was held December 2 at Yerevan’s Ani Plaza Hotel. The Armenian government’s Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) initiate the conference each year.


EIF Director Bagrat Yengibaryan and Meggie Sobotka, associate program manager with CRDF Global, opened the event with remarks about the 13 project finalists, whose work related to myriad scientific topics, from biology to medical imaging.


Four of the thirteen projects belonged to Armenian National Science and Education Fund (ANSEF) grantees Dr. Grigor Gyulkhandaryan, Dr. Armen Aghajanyan, Armen Kuzanyan and Dr. Narine Vardanyan.


Five grants of up to 15,000 USD were awarded to five research groups out of the 13. Two of the five grants went Armen Kuzanyan and Grigor Gyulkhandaryan.
