Newly vested surgeon and Mathevosian Scholar Eduard Bayramyan recently became the very first student to graduate medical school with this help of this FAR program. Through the Mathevosian Scholarship, FAR sponsors medical residents who study at Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU). Once they're through medical school, these new doctors are required to practice medicine in regions outside of Armenia and Russia, which lack adequate medical care.
Eduard is heading to the underserved Tavush region to fulfill his first assignment at Dilijan Hospital.
His graduation was marked by notable guests, including Tavush Governor Armen Ghularyan, Head of the Regional Health Department Karine Dovlatbekyan, YSMU Director Gevorg Yaghjyan, FAR Deputy Director Margarit Piliposyan, and FAR Program Coordinators Dr. Hambardzum Simonyan and Eduard Karapetyan.
