Armenia earned its first competitive football win in more than a year Friday night in Yerevan, with a 3-1 victory over Slovakia in a tense Euro-2012 qualifier.
Ending the first half 1-1 following an exchange of goals from Yuri Movsisyan (23rd minute) and Vladimir Weiss (37th minute), Vardan Minasyan’s side kept the pressure on the visitors to score two more goals in the second thanks to Gevorg Ghazaryan (48) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (89) efforts.
