Art. For your health.
A contemporary art exhibition titled “Optimizm” that opened at the Armenian Painters’ Union in Yerevan will be on till October 16, hoping to convince visitors that globalization has not killed originality in modern art.
But optimism concerns not only art, but also healthcare, as the exhibition is devoted to the 90th anniversary of the Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) and, as the exhibition curator, U.S.-Armenian art critic Vicki Shoghak Hovannesian says: “Optimism symbolizes considerable progress and reforms that have taken place at the University that will lead to the development and modernization in the field.”
