Last week marked a major development for FAR’s GTech (Gyumri Information Technology Center), with the opening ceremony of a new network technology training program sponsored by D-Link. Founded in 1986, D-Link maintains a strong global presence in the design, manufacture and marketing of advanced networking, broadband, digital, voice and data communications solutions. The Virtual Laboratory will start the regular courses in 2010. “This is a revolutionary event in Armenia’s IT sphere,” remarked GTech Executive Director Gurgen Paronyan and added “As a result of initiative, we hope that students from various regions of the Republic of Armenia will attend the new educational center at GTech.”
“GTech’s success and achievements, as well as the positive attitude of the employees resulted in our decision to launch the first Armenian Center of D-Link in Gyumri” explained Mr. Armen Shahnazaryan, director of D-Link in Armenia. In his acknowledgement speech, Karen Sargsyan of FAR especially thanked D-Link for its pledge to award the two strongest GTech students with D-Link Scholarships. FAR is hopeful for the prospect of further corporate partnerships for GTech, as we hope to grow attendance at the school and make the program stronger each year.
