Orange Armenia joins in the fundraising efforts for the Octet Music School and contributes 15,000 EUR to the rebuilding fund for Rock Aid Armenia.
Today the single of “WhoCares” ad-hoc band formed by “Deep Purple” lead singer Ian Gillan and “Black Sabbath” guitar player Tony Iommi, in the frame of “Rock Aid Armenia” project was presented. “Orange Armenia” joined the project during Yerevan presentation of the single, transferring EUR 15.000 to Gyumri N6 music school rebuilding fund.
The CD, recorded by the musicians specially to raise money for the reconstruction of Gyumri music school N 6, includes two songs: On My Mind and Holy Water. Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Jon Lord (ex-Deep Purple), Jason Newsted (ex-Metallica), Linde Lindstrom (HIM) participated in the recording in addition to Ian Gillan and Tony Iommi. “WhoCares” will transfer the entire income from sale of the disc to Gyumri N6 music school rebuilding fund which is jointly managed by Mediamax, “Do Something” Australian non-for profit organization and the Fund for Armenian Relief.
