I was barely in 10th grade when I went to my first System Of A Down concert. The fans then idolized the band, knew every word of every song and moshed their hearts out at every show. As Chop Suey! hit the radios across the nation, slowly, the venues got bigger, going from with Whiskey on the Sunset Strip to the Palace in Hollywood to amphitheatres and stadiums all across the United States, Europe, Asia and around the world. The crowds were no longer the familiar faces of mainly Armenians – the fan base grew diverse and expanded quickly. System Of A Down, or also known as, SOAD, was the band to see, to talk about, to idolize. Since day one, the band has had a tremendous influence in music, philosophy, politics and unity.
