When the GITC Student Becomes the Lecturer

For Arman Alvanjyan from Gyumri, engineering is more than a career—it’s a creative, problem-solving adventure where no two days are alike. “I discovered this,” he admits, “along with many other important insights at the Gyumri Information Technologies Center, where I found my passion for electronics.”

Since childhood, 18-year-old Arman has dreamed of making a positive impact on the world through technology. His drive led him to GITC in 2021, where he dove into engineering projects and process improvements. Here, he’s been able to turn theory into practice, learning firsthand how to troubleshoot and understand issues in electronic testing and production.

“The most exciting and impactful of our team projects is the ‘Special Boat’—a unique creation that we’re preparing to test on Lake Sevan,” Arman shares proudly. “It’s not just another school project; it’s real teamwork.” Other projects he's worked on include a "Smart Hotel" system, a vending machine, a “Smart Classroom,” and an automated greenhouse—each project feeding his hunger for new challenges.

Since 2024, Arman has also been teaching at GITC, mentoring 35 students as they explore their own paths in engineering. He emphasizes that uncertainty about the future should not deter one from trying. “If something doesn’t work out, it’s okay to regroup and try again with more resources,” he advises.

Our big congratulations to Arman and his young mentees from Gyumri! Let’s stand with these talented individuals and support them by donating to FAR today.
