[FAR Health Programs/BCPP]: Combating Malnutrition in Targeted Communities image

5-year-old Lilit is visibly enjoying her lunch, and even asks for a second helping. She is the oldest of 21 children attending the remote Chinchin kindergarten, and is very chatty - even at lunchtime. Her daily menu consists of a variety of nutritious components necessary for raising healthy kids – vegetables, soup, dairy, fruits, and healthy snacks. The meals are provided free of charge by FAR’s Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Program (BCPP), which aims to reduce child poverty and its profound effects on children’s health and growth.

[BCPP]: “No Candy, Mom, Get Me Some Thread Instead” image

15-year-old twins Nare and Meline are members of a Chinari hobby group operated by FAR’s “Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Program” (BCPP)* in the Tavush region. The twins, along with other members of the Chinari and Aygepar hobby groups, recently displayed their handmade works at exhibitions held in their village. The BCPP hobby groups provide much-needed extracurricular activities in the border region and introduce children to a variety of sports and art forms otherwise unavailable to them.
