[FAR Social Programs; FAR Education]: FAR Programs Assist Ambitious Syrian-Armenian Architectural Student image

Meet Noura Toubrakji, one of our Nishanian Foundation Scholarship Students. An architecture and design student at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Noura has also received support through FAR’s recently launched “Assistance to Parentless Children and Youth Program,” which has already supported more than 45 orphanage alumni, orphans and resettled Syrian-Armenian families and youth in myriad ways.

[FAR Social Services]: FAR Supports Syrian-Armenian Families image

Last fall, FAR started a project with the aim of supporting Syrian-Armenians who have found a new home in Armenia as the conflict still rages in their native country. Two hundred and fifty Syrian-Armenian families received humanitarian aid, including emergency packages of pillows, mattresses, bedding, towels, kitchenware, and basic furniture for those living in temporary dormitories. Four distributions were carried out during November and December.

[Child Protection]: Another Unforgettable Summer at FAR’s Summer Camp image

One of our most successful programs, FAR’s summer camp for socially vulnerable children proved once again to be a success. Held in beautiful, bucolic Kotayq Province at the Aragats Summer Camp venue, FAR made it possible for 126 orphaned kids and those from single-parent homes, along with 18 Syrian-Armenian refugees to enjoy 18 wonderful days of joy and fun. The Aragats program, which started in 2015, is fully supported by the SJS Foundation.
